Brightside Nursey Infant School is over 120 years old and is situated on the eastern edge of Sheffield, overlooking the Meadowhall Shopping Centre. The school is somewhat separated from its catchment by a busy road, and serves an area of privately owned and rented accomodation. Brightside Nursery Infant school is a large stone built school with a separate Nursery/Childrens centre building which has its own playground.
School has a large yard to play in at break times. 'We like to play in our little wooden houses and swing on the bars.
We have a wildlife garden which the children enjoy. We grow fruit and vegetables of all varieties, and we all enjoy, looking for mini beasts and different kinds of plants.

'We like to play on the climbing frame and run over the bridges. We use the yard and the field behind school for P.when the weather isn't too bad.'
